Association design review comes first
Before a permit is pulled, most Uptown condominium associations require submitted plans, contractor insurance certificates, a construction schedule and often an acoustic underlayment specification. Review can take weeks and can require revisions.
Plumbing relocation, structural penetrations and anything touching the building envelope — window film, exterior-visible treatments, balcony surfaces — get the closest scrutiny because they affect common elements.
- Full drawing set plus contractor licensure and insurance
- Acoustic underlayment specification for hard flooring
- Written schedule matched to building quiet hours
- Elevator reservation and protection plan
